Dr. Ashlie Saffire

Dr. Ashlie Saffire is Board Certified in Feline Practice by The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. She founded The Cat Specialty Center at Faithful Friends Veterinary Clinic alongside her husband Dr. Michael Henricks who started Faithful Friends in 2016. She is a 2011 graduate of The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Saffire serves as President of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association (formally the Amer. Assoc of Feline Practitioners), is a published author, and co-tutors the University of Sydney's Feline Medicine Distance Education Course. Dr. Saffire is both Cat-Friendly and Fear-Free certified.

Dr. Saffire participates in clinical trials and research studies in feline medicine, in addition to practicing feline medicine and management of complex disease processes and disorders. She is fluent in minimally invasive diagnostics such as abdominal ultrasound and endoscopy in addition to advanced feline-specific surgical procedures including perineal urethrostomies for urinary obstructions, ventral bulla osteotomies for removal of middle ear polyps, subtotal colectomies for treatment of megacolon, placement of feeding tubes, oncologic surgery, advanced feline dentistry and more.
